The number 2 is often associated with balance and duality in many cultures. In Western contexts, it can represent both difference and togetherness, reflecting its nature in forming a pair or couple. This digit is symbolic in nature, representing opposing forces like yin and yang, which are fundamental to human existence.

Now in my tenth year in Germany, I find myself reflecting on “back to the south sky,” a weather phenomenon from southern China characteristic of March and April. This period’s intense humidity can seep into buildings and foster mold growth on various materials, while nearly saturated air impedes the drying process, causing some foods to spoil.
The animation featured in this project uses mold as its central theme, creatively exploring the visualization of everyday details. Through visual elements that resemble mold, this work aims to articulate the impacts of humidity and provides a graphical representation of a nuanced, often overlooked natural occurrence.

This flyer design I created for Mirbach Apotheke Berlin and Naturopath Kristin Wiegleb.
The idea was to make the topic of microbiome analysis fun and visually engaging, especially since their audience is mainly younger individuals and families (the test is even suitable for kids). I used vibrant colors and playful visuals to make the flyer approachable and eye-catching. A few months after launching, i got some great feedback—both the client and their customers loved it!

I use a website called 'random word generator' to generate words or sentences randomly, and then I try to create a visual story out of the nonsense.
